<p>I hiked a large sand dune for the first time yesterday. What a unique experience! Quite a slog, hiking straight up the side to reach the ridge. A surprise with the challenge of walking the ridge— didn’t expect it to be so sharp. The drop-off on each side looked steeper/scarier than it actually was. A fun time! <p>I’ve taken many shots like this, every year, with the same subject and in the same place. Yet I’m still fascinated by this perspective.<br>This one is from just a few hours ago: the sunset and the &quot;fragile&quot; flower. A breath of wind will be enough, and the flower, as we see it, will vanish. <p>I just saw a little ermine bouncing along the side of the road near my house. It didn&#x27;t sit still long, but I managed to get two quick shots before it disappeared into the woods.
