Yesterday's 12 mile hike included 6 miles on the shoulder of highway 101, but Strawberry Hill was on the way and was begging to be explored! I spent a good hour there watching the harbor seals and the pelicans. Here are a few of my favorite shots.

I’m an instructor of beginner photographers. On Sundays, I send an email of tips, tricks, articles, pictures, etc. Info I think students can use. It’s for “regular” camera users and those who shoot with smartphones.

I had myself a hell of a Halloween #photography weekend. Here are some shots from an annual Zombie Crawl flash mob that wanders from place to place performing the choreographed dance from the Michael Jackson music video for Thriller.

This is one of my favorite events to do as a photographer. It’s weird spectacle, fast moving, is dimly lit so I can do a lot with a single speedlight, and I get to employ my full library of Shaolin Kung Fu stances in order to nail my shots.
