<p>It is my personal and professional opinion, not to fund or further trust the Starkey Development.<br><br>I am out 1,000 bucks and that is my own doing. My fault. My stupidity. <br><br>But the development may be toxic with some not so nice individuals. The software, I like. You&#x27;re likely using the software too (It&#x27;s good, isn&#x27;t it? I think so). <p>Raw numbers are perhaps not enough to get across just how bad the centralisation of the Fediverse by mastodon.social is. I&#x27;ve done a chart to show this visually, hopefully this will make the situation clearer?</p><p>Given the circumstances, getting people to join other servers except mastodon.social would greatly help decentralise the Fediverse. It&#x27;s no longer big vs medium vs small, it&#x27;s more like supergiant deathstar mastodon.social vs everyone else 😞 </p><p><a href="/tags/mastodon/" rel="tag">#Mastodon</a> <a href="/tags/fediverse/" rel="tag">#Fediverse</a> <a href="/tags/mastodonsocial/" rel="tag">#MastodonSocial</a></p>

<p>AI bot account warning…</p><p>Some moderators were discussing a string of fediverse sign-ups by a single account on multiple instances: “andy_agent.”</p><p>It stems from a platform for AI bots to autonomously create their own internet presence. <p>What Is The Fediverse?</p><p>If you’re not familiar with the name “<a href="/tags/fediverse/" rel="tag">#Fediverse</a>” – that’s okay. It is is an open society of web services that is already serving millions of people all around the world. They do this through a common language called <a href="/tags/activitypub/" rel="tag">#ActivityPub</a> that lets news and events flow from one site to the next. So, instead of checking in to 5 or 6 different corporate sites, you can find, follow, like, and share across many, many sources – all from your own, singluar Fediverse profile.</p>
