<p>I am finding the story of <a href="/tags/jasonarday/" rel="tag">#JasonArday</a> really tragic. <p>How did other <a href="/tags/actuallyautistic/" rel="tag">#actuallyautistic</a> <a href="/tags/autistic/" rel="tag">#autistic</a> fellows learn additional languages? I need to learn Danish. I feel like I need to focus on grammar and vocabulary first (i.e. written language) to be able to think complete sentences fluently and understand what I read, before being able to transition to speaking and listening.</p><p>But in Danish, all resources, schools, and teachers force spoken first. This had made learning the language a pain for me.</p><p>I am wondering if this is a me thing or if others are the same? If anyone finds this relatable, how did you get past it?
