A recent photo of my sketchbook, still training with ballpoint pen directly, a cruel training. But I am beginning to get a better ability to imagine perspective grids without tracing them, and I can even begin to plan full-page compositions. It takes a while to build these new skills, but they are worth it.

I will eventually convert this over to using https://fitlanguage.org, but it is good enough for now.

Doing #squats at the end of the #workout and in a #LLP style is a case for the #ministryOfSillyWalk
PS: Say what you want about the music selection but it definitely pushes me 😅
I'm not sure how much longer this is going to be available, but a CSS Course on making "whimsical animations" by @joshwcomeau is having an Open House - meaning, a few of the tutorials are available for free! Check them out while you can.

My heart rate went up to 190 last night during a training session 🔥🔥🔥
I blame the big cup of chocolate and peppermint marshmallow I just had before the training 😤😤😤
One hour ago: ready for some training ride!
Now: this training session tried to kill me!
Even in the virtual world, riders stay together to combat the resistance. Small groups form just after a few miles, and will change through the course when there’re climbs. Everyone in the group has significantly reduced air resistance (up to 35% in Zwift) and there is a sense of camaraderie among the riders.
Today was a tough ride. First, my husband's derailer cable slipped and he couldn't change gears. Fixing that on the road was fun.... Then I had a giant spike in my tire, but that was a generally easy flat to fix. Then it was like 95 degrees and just riding that far in the heat is HARD! We bailed at mile 60. But in all, good ride! We did all the hills 😁

For my 2-day Event-Driven Architecture training I'm now partnering with the training provider oose. :Authenticity incoming:
One thing that isn't always obvious about open source projects is how they keep going year after year.
I've worn a lot of hats in the eight years maintaining this project. In today's economy, I'm back to my roots teaching what I know best: tech.
I'll keep these posts to a minimum here, but for those interested in learning more tech regularly, you can follow my personal account here:
