<p>My MIL passed away in August. She was about to turn 105 and participated in many of the No Kings events in Mt. Kisco, NY. She was a plasma physicist, grew up with Einstein as a family friend and is the reason why NY water is clean and frakking is banned. Her obituary is frankly, amazing. <a href="/tags/stem/" rel="tag">#STEM</a> <a href="/tags/science/" rel="tag">#science</a> <a href="/tags/activism/" rel="tag">#activism</a> <a href="/tags/climatechange/" rel="tag">#climatechange</a> <a href="https://www.therecorder.org/post/marian-rose-104-bedford-resident-scientist-and-longtime-activist" rel="nofollow" class="ellipsis" title="www.therecorder.org/post/marian-rose-104-bedford-resident-scientist-and-longtime-activist"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">www.therecorder.org/post/maria</span><span class="invisible">n-rose-104-bedford-resident-scientist-and-longtime-activist</span></a></p>

<p>Not sure anyone is still watching the <a href="/tags/nasa/" rel="tag">#NASA</a> feed, but the interview with the head of the Landing & Recovery team recounting how a visit to Kennedy Space Center when she was seven years old sparked her desire to work in space exploration and spurred her to study <a href="/tags/stem/" rel="tag">#STEM</a> when her family immigrated here is inspiring.
