Watched in #Monsterdon watch party on Mastodon.
my favourite little bit of trivia is that they built a whole alien language and then just said "fukkit, they go ANK ANK ANK all the time."

People slag it off, and sure it has issues, but I always enjoy it!

now enter: Water Nazis
ok, ok, i am absolutely knackered but I'm here for Solarbabies. how could I not be! 😄
#monsterdon root post lfgggggg
#Monsterdon root post for #Solarbabies, followed by #Waterworld. First movie: what if there was no water? Second movie: what if there was only water? Truly the yin and yang of apocalyptic flop movies.
Folks, it is now about an hour away from #MONSTERDON the weekly monster movie watch party. If you want to avoid it, best set up a hashtag filter now.
If you'd like to join in, this week we're watching SOLARBABIES (1986) which is not, in spite of the name, a spinoff movie about the sun from Teletubbies. I'm still not entirely clear what it IS, even after reading the description, but it's not that.
The flick's available free with ads over on Tubi: https://tubitv.com/movies/466653/solarbabies
Or you can download from archive.org over here: https://archive.org/details/Solarbabies
Just hit play at the top of the hour and toot along. See you there!
water may be scares, but spraypaint is clearly abundant in the distant future of 41
Suddenly its the movie "Holes"
Water? Impossibly scarce
Hair gel and skin care? Flow like water
