<p>Thinking about the Mastodon version of the <a href="/tags/fediverse/" rel="tag">#Fediverse</a> that is so user hostile they don&#x27;t like adding things to the main web UI that would make us want to stay, such as a way to schedule posts without using a third party client or the API. I just scheduled three posts for the end of the year and it didn&#x27;t kill <a href="/tags/mastodon/" rel="tag">#Mastodon</a>. But Mastodon keeps telling us they don&#x27;t want influencers here. I agree. Fuck influencers. They should be ran off the internet. But you can&#x27;t want people to switch to Mastodon but then don&#x27;t want people to use Mastodon. Logic never works like that. I&#x27;ve been here since 2017 ish, and while I get viscerally annoyed at all the folks that want to have an algorithm, even a custom one, I&#x27;m not trying to chase them off.</p>
