Just says "bottom sheet" twice, and the app's name, then NOTHING. I hope they fix this mess, because this all means cutting blind people off. They are often worse than being on the streets, and more dangerous. Every time I got into a physical altercation with someone, it was in a shelter. 90% of the time I had something stolen, it was in a shelter.
They're even more filthy and covered in bugs than a tent.
I was glad when my #disability was approved, and was able to get out.

Dr Oz says being healthy is a patriotic duty
Worse, he says they spend 70% of Medicare & Medicaid funds on chronic illness & aren’t “getting their money’s worth”
This is the quiet part said out loud.
They don’t want to cure chronic illness, they want us to take the blame.
They don’t want to pay.
They aren’t even being subtle anymore. They’re making lists of people with autism. They deride those who can’t work or serve in the military.
“Wise decisions” would be universal healthcare. Universal basic income. Addressing poverty, food deserts and income inequality.
This isn’t “wise decisions”, it’s eugenics.

radio says $1800 on average for a 1 bed right now in Kingston per rentals ca or whatever. #ODSP gives a max $522 for housing for a single person. If the Liberals had put in their #UBI it would've been $2000, leaving you with $200 to live off of. But #DougFord has only increased ODSP by $50 in 9 years.
Most #Disabled people are like me, we WANT to work, but physically can't. We are almost on death's door as it is, and it's ODSP or die in a gutter.
BTW still not going to any mass events, even outdoors, for health reasons. so everybody out here who by #disability, like me, or any other reason cannot make it to a #nokings #protest, i see you.

Legally blind Strange New Worlds actor Bruce Horak (Hemmer) had news earlier this spring that I somehow missed:
- a crowdfunded documentary is being made about his ‘Boldly going’ as a disabled actor and visual artist
- he met with William Shatner, who has agreed for Bruce to paint his portrait. (Bruce paints as he sees with his very limited vision in one eye.)
Here’s a report from CTV from his hometown of Calgary filed in March.
“And he says he’s an example of how DEI works – for everyone.
“When you design for disability, everyone benefits,” he said, pointing out that phone texting started as something to assist the hearing-impaired and now it’s for everyone.”

Police have arrested a man for handing out face shields to protesters in LA (I’ve also seen reports that he may have been distributing masks)
Why is this a crime? Why is providing PPE to people who are being hit with chemical munitions and rubber bullets an offence?
This is bleak.
Once again this ties back to disability rights.
If more people would help normalize masks; they wouldn’t have such an easy time vilifying them
Ironically these protests are going to lead to more disability, at least in part because police are making it impossible for people to protect themselves.

During the California farm raids, ICE attacked a person in wheelchair.
Proving once again that they’re no more than modern day Brownshirt bullies.
A canister of tear gas had been thrown at the disabled man and landed underneath his wheelchair, making it difficult for him to move.
Jonathan Caravello, a lecturer in philosophy from California State University Channel Islands, tried to defend the man in the wheelchair.
He was reportedly piled on by multiracial IVE agents, tackled and arrested.
His crime? Trying to protect a disabled immigrant.
We just keep sinking to new lows.
I want to say thank you to professor Caravello for doing the right thing and standing up for someone who’s was unfairly put in harms way.
He’s a hero.
