26 years ago, on October 24, 1999 the iconic Peanuts football gag concluded with the twist of having Rerun, Lucy's younger brother, holding the ball for Charlie Brown to kick as Lucy is called inside. Whether or not he actually *did* kick it, we'll never know.

P1: Rerun, a young boy coming out of the house calling for Lucy

P2: Rerun walking as he says "Lunch Time!"

P3: Rerun approaches Lucy sitting on the ground holding the football with Charlie Brown standing next to her as she tells him "So I'll hold the ball Charlie Brown and you come running up and kick it..." as Rerun interrupts and tells her "Mom says to come in for lunch".

P4: Rerun tells Lucy "She says right now!" and Lucy replies "Oh, good grief!"

P5: Charlie Brown says "That's all right... we'll do it some other time..."

P6: Lucy hands the ball to Rerun and says "No, Rerun can take my place.."

P7: Rerun holds the ball and Charlie Brown prepares to kick it, saying "This time I'll do it! This time I'll Kick it.. Rerun will never pull it away.. he just wouldn't."

P8: Charlie Brown prepares to kick the ball saying "So here we go!"

P9: Complete change of scenery, as we never see if he did kick it or not, Rerun comes in the house and hands the ball to Lucy who asks "What happened? Did you pull the ball away? Did he kick it? What happened?"

P10: Rerun with an unfazed look on his face tells Lucy "You'll never know.." as she is shown gasping in frustration with "AAUGH!" being her main reaction.

66 years ago, on October 26, 1959, Linus mentioned the Great Pumpkin in the Peanuts comic strip for the first time, kicking off an annual Halloween storyline that ran for 40 years and received its very own animated special.

P3: Linus licking the envelope of his presumed letter to the Great Pumpkin, telling Lucy "The "Great Pumpkin" LOVES little Children!"

P4: Linus in full excitement, arms raised up in the air saying "I can see him now rising up out of the pumpkin patch with his big bag of toys!" As a very confused Lucy keeps staring at him.

读过 Asterios Polyp 🌕🌕🌕🌕🌑
这部作品有点把我惊（艳）到了，这跟我熟悉的画超级英雄漫画的那位完全不像一个风格（他在超英那边也很厉害就是了），这部的漫画语言用到了极致，分镜、节奏、用色乃至字体都跟叙事结合得天衣无缝，实乃是上乘的图像小说作品。里面还有对建筑学艺术还有哲学的解读（谢谢《苏菲的世界》帮我科普哲学），但没有给满分的原因还是在故事本身上，主角这个心理转变过程不是很让人信服，有些角色设计出来服务完情节过渡就没了影，譬如那位抠搜的编舞家，女主的叙述也缺乏女性角度，如果篇幅再长一点这个故事可能能讲得更好，但最后一幕确实挺动人的。
