I saw my friend King sleeping in front of the ATM machines at 7-11 yesterday. I've been feeding this dog for many years. He used to live around the housing complex down the street from me but he migrated down to the 7-11 next to a small restaurant. Whenever I see him outside, I get him a snack. American illustrator Jessie Willcox Smith died #OTD in 1935.

Smith’s career took off when she began working for the Ladies' Home Journal, for which she created many covers and interior illustrations. She illustrated over 60 books throughout her career, including classics such as Charles Kingsley's The Water-Babies, Robert Louis Stevenson’s A Child’s Garden of Verses, and Clement Moore’s The Night Before Christmas.

A bizarre ghost-shaped creature, vaguely reminiscent of the ghosts in Pac-Man. It has a dome-shaped head and no arms. The lower half of it is ragged. Its color is a mixture of crimson and roughly painted, iridescent green. The green texture extends beyond its body, as though it is dripping or glowing. The upper half of its body is covered by four eyes with multicolored irises. The largest, top-most eye has two irises. It also has three horns, and a glowing halo that appears to be dripping with paint.

All done! Took 90 minutes to render, on the dot.

I sorta want to make a 60fps version, maybe at half speed. But that would mean 4x the frames as this one, and I'm not ready to devote 6 hours of render time to this.
