One of the joys when I lived in London, was going to the Tate (only one then) & walking into a gallery where a Turner was displayed — the light! Wonderful! A friend introduced me to Turner, as well as the pleasure of returning to museums over & over & not trying to consume everything all at once. "Museums go to your feet," she would say, if you try to take everything in on one visit.

As expressões lo-fi ou lofi (#lo-fi - #lofi) têm dois sentidos: o mais comum, hoje, serve para um tipo de Hi Hop mais suave, como música de fundo. Aparece muito em vídeos para concentração e estudos.

A acepção mais antiga serve para música gravada com baixa qualidade sonora (de registro ou execução). Nesse formato está o Punk Rock, alguns álbuns do Daniel Johnston e também o meu.

Minha música é totalmente lofi.

Oracular Oriole - an oracle bird reading prophecies from matcha tea (milk foam in the shape of an open eye) with the inscriptions on the cup "Know thyself" a Greek maxim referencing the oracle of Delphi. Oracular Oriole has great taste and proudly wears its sacred matcha brush as a hat. A cozy atmosphere adds to the magic, candles, and bowls filled with matcha/autumn leaves, spices like cinnamon, anise stars, vanilla pods, pumpkin/matcha powder, its favorite orange/lemon/citrus zest, and blueberries can be seen, too. In the front, two orioles are visiting this magical place none of them look like the other. They are much smaller than the mystical Oriole in the center of attention and are here to receive their reading. The sand on the floor forms lots of circles, a bit like a zen garden. Some sand routes seem to have moved a teapot to the scenery. These circular patterns also appear in the background but are colorful seagrass decoration. Electric pulses and colorful light show how far the supernatural work is at its current state. What will the future hold for the Orioles? Though I know the importance of not rushing into the day, too often I enter it with my mind on the chores, and easily pass by the silence and calm of morning.

But when I remember to stop, if even for a moment, and feel the coolness of the air, listen to the birds, and notice the fresh and fragile wildflowers, I am blessed by nature's gifts.

HAPPY JUNETEENTH EVERYONE!!!

I live a couple of miles from the Ohio River, where the river represented the border between freedom and slavery.

This painting honors John P Parker, who lived just 7 miles from my home in Ripley, Ohio. Born into slavery, Parker learned to read, bought his freedom, owned his own business and helped hundreds of slaves cross the river.

His home is depicted on the far left of the painting.
