Everyone can agree that force-choking is cool. Technically competent production with microphones and audible dialogue. There are a few nicely framed shots. Some nice blood spurting. The low-budget CGI magic effects are kind of charming. Dominique is a baddie.

Scenery chewing bad line delivery. Everything looks gray with low contrast. Cars have steering wheels on the opposite side in Amityville, NY? Soundtrack gets rather redundant and sounds like they may have used stock music. A lot of lazy shot choices. Ppl just walk into other ppl’s houses in England, I guess? There’s about 45 minutes of plot in this. Slow and boring.

Great thriller. Lots of suspense. Love the synth soundtrack. Some good mystery elements to keep you guessing. Gender politics are always spooky.

Ladies and gentlemen, The Beau Bremmels! The garage rock soundtrack is probably the best part. No wonder this track got reused in Death Proof. Followed by… the writer’s barely-disguised giantess fetish.

Teenage beach party schlock. All of the dance sequences are 10x too long. Inconsistent scale, the giants vary from 12 feet tall to 48 feet tall. Empire Strikes Back is based on this film. Literal giant fake boobs.

Really impressive for Anthony Perkins’ directorial debut! Nice cinematography, color palette, and lighting. There was at least one scene that actively gave me chills. Ominous vibes. It looks so similar to Psycho II that I thought maybe they were filmed in succession, but they were actually filmed 3 years apart.

Campy fun. Paul Reubens is great. Barbarella-esque mix of scenery chewing and also barely trying. Some fun stunts.

Flat cinematography. Slows to a crawl at times. Unclear and/or inconsistent vampire rules. No chemistry between Swanson and Perry.

41 years later and the Jabberwocky still freaks me out, but I realized that it’s mainly Alice’s screaming in terror that is upsetting. Every once in a while there are moments that are so freaky and weird that they make me wish this was more Magical Mystery Tour (1967) and LESS like Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band (1978). There are a few genuinely well written and well performed songs like Emotions and Jam Tomorrow.

Overall, it’s really boring. You don’t really have to look at the movie because the dialogue will tell you everything that is happening… I’m too big, now I’m small, I left the key on the table, etc. It's just rather lazy filmmaking.
