I read Benedict Brown's _Murder at Everham Hall_, the first in his Marius Quin series of historical cozy mysteries.

I really wanted to love this book. Alas!

For reasons, I re-read this review just now, and I'm AGAIN so very angry that the author was not offered a contract for the next book. Well written protagonist of a certain age, interesting mystery, good worldbuilding.

Publishing did Callie Carpenter very dirty here.

Because I was feeling a certain way, I checked last year's attempt to complete
@SuperWendy #TBRChallenge. It turns out, while I certainly didn't do great, I did better than I thought I had. Crossing fingers for a better showing this year.
