Via The Smut Report, a solid piece, that includes the statement, "we firmly believe that all books are political (in that they can not be separated from the conditions under which they are written)"

I read Cathy Pegau's latest release; _A Murderous Business_ is a historical mystery and ::fingers crossed:: hopefully just the first in the Harriman & Mancini series.

Because I'm nothing if not predictable, I read _Game Changer_, by Rachel Reid; it's the first in the Game Changers hockey genre romance series.

I had forgotten to review this movie!
I have been trying to complete
@SuperWendy's #TBRChallenge since 2012 (though not every year) with rather pitiful results. If you want to see how I did, I ended up writing a compilation post

I read Benedict Brown's _Murder at Everham Hall_, the first in his Marius Quin series of historical cozy mysteries.
I really wanted to love this book. Alas!

Random book recommendation: A.J. Demas' _Honey & Pepper_ is such a delight, with a lovely cinnamon roll hero.

If you want your own copy, it's available through the author's own store:

1.- I read "Kirkyards & Kindness", by Kelley Armstrong; it's part of her A Rip Through Time series (and it's wonderful)

For reasons, I re-read this review just now, and I'm AGAIN so very angry that the author was not offered a contract for the next book. Well written protagonist of a certain age, interesting mystery, good worldbuilding.
Publishing did Callie Carpenter very dirty here.

Because I was feeling a certain way, I checked last year's attempt to complete
@SuperWendy #TBRChallenge. It turns out, while I certainly didn't do great, I did better than I thought I had. Crossing fingers for a better showing this year.

Good morning, #Romancelandia; I had occasion to write about historical accuracy and 'modern sensibilities'.
