Monastère Mont G is a former Roman Catholic monastery. The impressive building was built around a century ago.

The architectural style is Neo-Gothic. The tall roof supports are decorated with Corinthian columns. The tall vaulted ceiling and supporting columns are made out of white and red sandstone. The red and white stones alternate to produce striped pattern. The pattern is oddly reminiscent, at least to me, of a candy cane 🍭

Today's photo challenge reminded me that I needed to post a picture of the cable cars because San Franciscans are required to do that at least once a year. It's the law.

A wide angle photograph of San Francisco's famous cable cars. Taken on southernmost block of Powell Street, near the cable car turnaround and passenger boarding area.

The street is shaded from overhead trees and mid-rise buildings on either side. The cable car on the left is closest to the camera and looms large in the picture. And further in the distance, heading away from the camera, another cable car sits on its track, headed up towards Union Square and Nob Hill.

The photograph is in black and white because I'm a serious photographer.

It's always a treat to see the Elk at Cannon Beach, Oregon. The herd is on the move all the time, so you never know where you're going to bump into them next, if at all.
A foggy morning in September was so special to find them in this beautiful scenery, grazing and resting with the iconic Haystack Rock in the background.

I’m getting to know my new Voigtländer 27mm f/2 pancake lens with the Fujifilm X-T5.

Took a little walkaround … of course, I have to start with Lola, ’cause that’s what the public wants! : )

It’s a wonderful lens; for the time being, it’s going to live on the camera.
