Hiking Massif trail in #Norway: part 1. First few days were brutally difficult, long and techincal stages through the rock fields and snow of Breheimen national park. They were very challenging to complete with a heavy multi-day backpack, and not a hut-to-hut day pack they seem to be designed around. Still, everything could be forgiven for these otherworldly views!

The day before King Harald V died, I was at the Palace Square in Oslo to take photos of people gathering there. Before I arrived, I was unsure how I could ethically and respectfully take the photos I wanted.

I don't know much about King Harald V of Norway, who has just died, but reading an obituary isn't it refreshing to have a Head of State who said this:
He said Norwegians are from "Afghanistan, Pakistan and Poland, from Sweden, Somalia, and Syria," they "believe in God, Allah, the Universe and nothing", and they "are girls who love girls, boys who love boys, and girls and boys who love each other".
