I forgot I had built this #neovim plugin and never published it.

It's called marginalie and it lets you write annotations in markdown files that you can then trigger to open the file side by side with the relevant part highlighted.

⁃ open with <space>m
⁃ next marginalia with ]m
⁃ previous marginalia with [m

I've been using it to annotate my explorations of software, and (as in this screenshot), to write annotations that can help people learning how to analyze code.

安装了 flash.nvim 和 flash-zh.nvim，现在可以在 `s` 搜索模式下通过小鹤双拼跳转到视口内的中文词。目前仍在摸索能不能通过自带的 `/` 进行拼音搜索，这样可以搜索整个 buffer 而不只是视口。

使用 NeoVim 需要频繁在 NORMAL 其他模式下切换，而 Escape 键在键盘左上角，有点太远了，与是我把几乎没怎么用的大写锁定键（Caps Lock）换成了 Escape。目前体验下来非常好用。

I just found out about babel-org and this is the first serious case of editor envy I get from emacs. I’ll have to see if there’s anything like it for neovim.

Went down a neovim rabbit hole looking at babel-like plugins, and ran into neorg and rocks.nvim

⁃ rocks.nvim looks like a really good idea! I don't think I'll change from lazy soon, but worth keeping an eye on.
⁃ neorg looks pretty good! I like that it's a new format, though not sure what the ecosystem is for it at the moment. It looks good enough that I could replace my own nota.nvim with this.

I added a flag to nota.nvim to enable neorg mode, and this is a great improvement for my workflow.

I get to keep the workflow I built around nota with the periodic tasks and agenda view, but I get the benefit of the structured text and tools already built into norg.

Hopefully as norg gets some of the features in the roadmap (eg. GTD / multiple journals). I can shave things off of nota.

The #gVim #Flatpak, which I am running in #Bluefin, has been grabbing a whole lot of CPU. I only noticed it yesterday, but it could have been going on a bit longer.

Until this is resolved, I'll be using console Vim, which does ship with Bluefin Stable.

I generally prefer gVim because I use the system clipboard a lot, and it's slightly easier with a GUI app. I also use the mouse a bit. That's the kind of Vimmer I am.

I can make it work with console #Vim, and that's probably better for me in the long run.

I would have moved to #Neovim GUI #Neovide, but my .vimrc does not work, and it would be a heavy lift to re-create it.

I just spent a half-hour hacking in the #Neovide (GUI version of #neovim) #Lua config file, and I have figured out abbreviations and custom keymapping, which means I can move my "production" editing from #gVim to Neovide with a clean Lua config file.

Do I need to move away from gVim/#Vim? I'm not sure, but we're in this game to try new things, right?

Is it worth it to move from Vimscript to Lua?

We have math now! This is built into NorgUI and supports roll-your-own solutions.

I think there’s two things to do before release now:
⁃ Fix state management (I want to match what I have in other apps for maintenance)
⁃ Extract the editor to a library NorgEditor

Anyways, I've already spent some time removing #neovim from about half of my build/development containers. For now I'm going back to #vim, but once vim-classic or #evi is packaged in #debian, I'll switch to one of those.
