I came across with this picturesque scenery at the Jardin du Soleil Lavender Farm in Sequim, Washington on our road trip few days ago. I really liked the quaint metal table and chairs positioned at the edge of this lovely lavender field with wavelike display, creating a serene outdoor seating area as purple and green hues blended harmoniously, offering a calming rural scene.

Birds are amazing. But considering how much of my life I've spent watching and studying them, I've thought surprisingly little about just how incredible feathers are. Talking to engineers who still can't build anything to match a feather gave me a whole new understanding and appreciation for these absolute marvels of evolution.

This morning I knew this chrysalis was about to be ready. Went for an hour for a walk, came back, and there is a new Monarch 🦋 😍. Still has to let the wings dry and unfold.

El Capitan

El Capitan is one of the first landmarks that you will see as you drive into Yosemite Valley. This granite wall rises 3,000 feet off of the valley floor and is truly a sight to see. From the valley floor El Capitan is visible as you enter into the park and is prominently displayed to see from most points in the valley.
I love sitting below this monolith trying to spot climbers.
