I've been using Mint (Cinnamon) exclusively for the last four years or so, and I'm generally completely happy and satisfied and I don't miss Windows at all.
Except for one thing: Windows terminal.
And actually just one part of Windows terminal: being able to give different names to tabs.
I don't want to use a different terminal with AI bullshit or anything, I just want to have different names in tabs.
Anybody?

Fedora：虽说是给 RHEL 当滤网，不过磕磕碰碰不多
Arch：对我而言少许复杂，所以用的别处的 CatOS
Ubuntu：不如 Fedora + Gnome
统信UOS：我22年的 amd 笔记本，wifi 都没驱动（不能用wifi）；界面等等花里胡哨到本末倒置，抬走...

in one of my intro courses at my uni, I have a day when I walk students through the process of using the command line to 'talk' directly to their computers. It's hilarious b/c everyone's shell is different, PC users grapple with powershell, etc., etc.
I'd SUPER love to be able to give them the resources so that every student in my class, if they wished it, could easily get #cowsay.

Descobri uma sequência mágica agora pra reiniciar o Linux quando trava tudo.
Eu tava de bobeira aqui e fui ver como tava a ocupação do disco e descobri que o arquivo syslog tinha 20GB e o syslog.1 tinha 40GB 😱 tentei abrir com o nano pra ver se tava pra ter uma ideia do pq tava com esse tamanho todo, e obviamente travou o pc.
Antigamente acho que usava combinações diferentes pra reiniciar com segurança, mas dessa vez aprendi a usar essas sequências com a tecla SysRq (mesma do printscreen), usando o mnemônico "[R]aising [E]lephants [I]s [S]o [U]tterly [B]oring":
Alt+SysRq+R muda o teclado pro modo 'raw'
Alt+SysRq+E envia o sinal SIGTERM (termination) para todos os processos exceto 'mother init'
Alt+SysRq+I envia o sinal SIGKILL para todos os processos (um pouco mais agressivo)
Alt+SysRq+S sincroniza todos os arquivos de sistema para prevenir perda de dados
Alt+SysRq+U remonta os sistemas de arquivos como apenas leitura
Alt+SysRq+B força o reboot
PS: vou ter que esvaziar esses arquivos syslog sem ver o que tem dentro - e não é como se eu fosse entender o que eles querem dizer de qualquer forma ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
