🇧🇷🇵🇹💭 Eis um belo exemplo de confusão de sentidos de "free" em inglês. Não entendo por que brasileiros insistem em usar esse termo sem pensar no significado se nossa língua portuguesa, como outras derivadas do latim, possui vocabulário muito mais específico para expressarmos exatamente o que queremos dizer sem gerar dúvida: livre x grátis.

Descrição da imagem da ligação abaixo: trata-se de um quadrinho em formato de mangá com personagens aparentemente femininos, interagindo por telefone móvel em situação que fica cômica pela ambiguidade de "free". Segue uma tentativa de adaptação do diálogo. A primeira pessoa pergunta: "Você está free amanhã?" e a outra responde: "não, eu custo caro pra caramba todo dia".

É uma pena que o uso indiscriminado do anglicismo "free" misturado ao português, na TI, tenha acabado por importar a ambiguidade até para o termo "livre" que, a princípio, não seria ambíguo. Ao tratarmos especialmente da computação, poderíamos distinguir melhor liberdade de custo.

april-asr: probably best candidate so far; somewhat below quality expectations on my laptop (tested with https://flathub.org/en/apps/net.sapples.LiveCaptions; quality/performance is configurable; maybe I should run it on a more powerful server and check if it's better?)

Vosk official model: not sure about training data/code, not sure about weights
