About 10 years ago I had a go at writing a book - just for fun - with the idea of ...
"I wish someone had explained it to me like this".
All my subsequent attempts at writing have that same core philosophy "I wish someone had explained ie to me like this".
It did really well.
I wouldn't say it was an excellent work, and certainly not without errors. And things I wish I had done differently. But I think it succeeded in opening the doors for readers who struggled with the traditional textbooks. I've been honoured that people around the world have got in touch over the last 10 years asking questions, or just saying how it helped them get through a mental block.
Today an academic asked for permission to use one of my diagrams in their work.
