At @Vivaldi, we have chosen to include a lot of features not found in any other Web browser. This includes our mail client, calendar, task manager and feed reader. This is all a part of moving away from Big Tech as you can check your mail and calendar in Vivaldi and gradually move your mail service from Big Tech to one of the many mail services available, but access both from Vivaldi. This is the benefit of keeping the mail server and the mail client separate.
The feed reader is another great feature which allows you to subscribe to your favorite new sources and have them displayed in chronological order.
The calendar works with online services, but can also be used locally.
Have a look!

GNOME has just joined PeerTube! You can follow their official video account at:
You can follow PeerTube accounts from Mastodon etc, the videos will appear in your normal timeline alongside other posts. Reply within Mastodon etc to comment on the videos 🙂
You can also follow GNOME's non-video account at @gnome
New video! I'm reviewing a modern Mini PC (that I got sent for free) for a change.

Seems like 2026.x got 8 fun new tools to play around with that seems quite capable!
GNOME looks easier for non-technical users, but in practice it’s just more limited.
COSMIC is the one that looks most promising for me, but feels early days.

Either way, the days of the full featured native macos app seem to be behind us. Lots of old good apps, and lots of new iOS style or web app style ones.

It doesn’t seem like there’s a working MPD plugin, but that can probably be rectified, I’ll have a look.

Please, can anyone confirm what's reported by Google AI?
"This legendary 3D-rendered wallpaper was originally created by German graphic designer and digital artist Leonhard "Leo" Krauß (frequently credited as L. Krauß). … it became an iconic desktop background in the early 2000s tech community."
(I did spend around an hour searching, without assistance from AI, I couldn't find what I want.)

I had already played with MPRIS when writing lyricli, which magically gives you compatibility with most music players, but having explored more of it, I’m convinced it’s essential for any app developer to support.
I wonder if apps support d-bus scripting in the same way Mac apps support AppleScript.

Hey Linux bubble, please help me out...
Should I ditch Arch Linux and install the good old Debian on my desktop PC instead?
Clock is ticking, last backup is running, boost would be nice...
