New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani described Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu as a "war criminal." He said he agreed with the ICC that Netanyahu should be arrested and tried for the crimes attributed to him.
He explained that his administration had reviewed all available legal avenues and found that New York City has no authority to enforce the arrest warrant. He called on the US federal government to join the ICC and execute the warrant.
He also stressed that Netanyahu "is not welcome in New York City," nor is any "war criminal who remains at large."

UN Special Rapporteur Francesca Albanese told Al Jazeera that the violence in Qusra must be viewed within Israel’s decades-long occupation and “total impunity” toward Palestinians, warning that the situation has reached “a climax.”
She stresses that the “occupation is illegal” and that Palestinians remain entitled to protection under international law, including safeguards against disproportionate military action.
