<p>Marvel Comics is sunsetting their Developer Portal, including access to their API that included massive amounts of information about comic books, past and present. <p>finished watching <a href="https://eggplant.place/search?r=1&q=https://eggplant.place/tv/season/2OwBZpOcm5r4hCsFdEXtdC" rel="nofollow">The Avengers: United They Stand</a> <br>Boy, that sure was written in the 90s. But anyway...</p><p>That was all right. I like how the show featured characters who otherwise tend to be sidelined. When you think of Avengers, you probably think of Captain America, Iron Man, Thor... nope. They appear briefly in the intro and get cameo episodes, but otherwise don't feature in the show. Instead we have a team led by Ant Man, which includes Wasp, Hawkeye, Falcon, Tigra, Scarlet Witch, and Vision. And technically Wonder Man, but he spends almost the entire series captured or otherwise incapacitated. I wasn't following the comics at the time, so I'm not sure whether this was the active team there or whether they were chosen just for the show, but either way I think it made things more interesting.</p><p>(And yes, I'm aware that all of these folks have been Avengers at some time or another, and that Ant Man and Wasp were founding members. Not the point.)</p><p>My biggest complaint really, is that the show ends on a cliffhanger which suggests there were supposed to be more episodes, perhaps another season entirely. But no, just 13 episodes which fail to wrap up all the plot points they introduce. Lame.</p><p><a href="/tags/avengers/" rel="tag">#Avengers</a> <a href="/tags/marvel/" rel="tag">#Marvel</a><br></p>
<p>Rated <a href="https://eggplant.place/search?r=1&q=https://bridge.neodb.net/catalog/movie/imdbId-tt1981115" rel="nofollow">Thor: The Dark World</a> 4/10</p><p>This may be the most disappointing film entry in the Marvel franchise. Almost nothing was well-conceived save the effects and soundtrack. The sheer number of nonessential characters that the directors/writers tried to incorporate was unnerving. I'd like to say something redeeming, but between Portman's character pining and the inability of the scientists to demonstrate the worth of their degrees, I had little patience for this.</p>
