I'm excited to be here on Mastodon! Here's my #introduction - I'm a 5th Generation #Colorado native and have been doing full-time #photography for a while. I cut my teeth in photography while #climbing the highest 100 mountains in Colorado. I love #LandscapePhotography and co-lead an international photo competition - NLPA - we're dedicated to realistically edited #naturephotography. I am looking forward to engaging with everyone here, away from the cesspool that Meta has become! Cheers!

New year, new country, new #introduction. Having obtained my #PhD in #computationalmusicology in 🇨🇭 last year, I am now pursuing an academic career in #musicresearch in Linz 🇦🇹. Most music genres and styles have fantastic specimens but I seem to have a general preference for the extremes, be it #deathmetal, #hardtechno, or completely bonkers #ContemporaryMusic. Politically I'm a violent, radical extremist for #solidarity, #cooperation, and #HumanRights. Favourite vegetable: #hokkaido squash

A lot of new folks coming to the #fediverse and I need to update, so here's a new #introduction.

I work as a #video guy. An aspiring novelist looking to connect more with the #writingcommunity. My debut novel is with beta readers.

I'm a rare sports fan on #mastodon, cheering the #Packers, #DCU, #USMNT and #USWNT.

I've written #introduction toots before. Several older ones have been pinned 📍 to my account. But, as I am trying to combine my three accounts into just this one, I wanted to write a new introduction here.

I am Pixy, or Cynni, and am currently 46 years young/old. I have identified as bi for many years, but lately, I feel that enby suits me better. Or autienby even.

I have many different health issues, both mental ones and physical ones. Main health topics that I may Toot about are: cptsd, fibromyalgia, depression, anxiety, autism, ADHD, and hypermobility. I have had many hip surgeries in the right side, where I'm currently using my third take hip.

I have lived with my furry soulmate Arwen for almost 12 years. She was my whole world... Unfortunately, she passed away on July 4th 2025. On February 25th 2026, a chocolate Labrador litter was born. The girl that "should" have been my gall, she didn't make it. Due to circumstances, a boy pup became available. So, since April 22nd 2026, Koa Koolani is living with me, spicing up my life (and eating all my spoons, among other things 😉).

In the other pinned 📍 toots, I have explained more about me and the Fedi. How I sometimes struggle with social interaction. How I find it easier to "just" like or boost even, but find it harder to actually reply with words.

Currently struggling a bit with my. AuDHD, as my routine has been broken when Koa came, and we're still working on getting back to a routine that works for me (and him).

I try to use hashtags as much as I can. I always do my best to add alt texts to my images and videos. Yes, I do use AI for certain things, as some things I just can't do properly on my own... 😔
