These numbers are staggering.
267 millions of gallons of water are lost every single day in Puerto Rico. The money to fix at least half of those has been gutted from the water authority. Not by Puerto Rico’s government, but by the Fiscal Oversight Board established by the USA government with its PROMESA Law.

twas born in El Barrio but grew up in #PuertoRico (Mayagüez represent) and only came back to USA to finish college & go to graduate school. so i didn't grow up speaking “el difícil” as we call la lengua de Chaquespir, nor immersed in USA or gringo cultures.
this #Muppets GIF ―with Big Bird from Sesame Street and R2D2 from Star Wars―, encapsulates half of the Americana i heavily consumed in my youth. the other half was dominated by Soul Train and our local college rock radio station.

the usa health care by employment is a form of indentured servitude. in other words:
EMPLOYMENT IN THE UNITED STATES IS A FORM OF DEBT SLAVERY.
doubly so if you have debt by #studentLoans.
#PuertoRico outlawed debt slavery because post-slavery plantation workers were locked into their jobs by debt ―always to the plantation owner― they couldn’t retire in bankruptcy.

i know folks who work at a funeral home in #PuertoRico. they say, since this #Iran charade started, they’ve been getting about a dozen soldiers’ bodies a week ―fully autopsied and embalmed. supposedly it’s them who in the past processed the deceased.
they say it is not just unprecedented for the amount of dead soldiers. it’s the fact families are coming to them because their dead ones are not appearing in DoD or VA’s DIA rolls.
#DoD is hiding the real numbers of dead soldiers.
