<p>I am looking for experts/<a href="/tags/developers/" rel="tag">#developers</a> who are familiar with <a href="/tags/activitypub/" rel="tag">#ActivityPub</a> and who might be willing to chat with me.</p><p>I have started talking with parts of my network (mainly in D and NL), about how we could make the <a href="/tags/fediverse/" rel="tag">#Fediverse</a> more interesting for content providers and main stream media. This also means attracting ordinary users to join and to find fair and simple ways to support content providers (without <a href="/tags/paywalls/" rel="tag">#paywalls</a>).<br>I have some ideas, but now need more expertise and a deeper look under the hood.</p>

<p>Now I am curious, what's our <a href="/tags/filipino/" rel="tag">#Filipino</a> word for <a href="/tags/fediverse/" rel="tag">#Fediverse</a> and <a href="/tags/socialweb/" rel="tag">#SocialWeb</a> ?</p><p>So far, I these for potential Filipino translation of "Fediverse":</p><p>- bigkisberso (bigkis + uniberso)<br>- sansinukob = used in Filipino astronomy and literature to refer to the "universe" (I personally like this one)<br>- bukob (buklod + sukob) = just my invention</p><p>Other suggestions?</p><p>Since we're talking about the Filipino language (not Tagalog language), this means all Philippine languages are valid. We can combine them together, even use the 6th vowel /ë/.</p><p>But how about "Social Web"?</p><p>I was told that the Filipino for "Internet" is "daigbatan". I'm just not sure though since I can't find information on "batan" other than:</p><p>- Original name of Bataän was Batan, a Spanish word for "log" (🪵) which the province was named after by the Spaniards.<br>- The Ivatan people call themselves in the Ivatan language as "Batan". (Yes, Batanes = Isles of [the] Batan [people]. From the web interface, go to "Preferences" on the right-side menu. <p>O documentário Amanhã Vai Ser Maior está no Fediverso!</p><p>Participei da produção de um documentário sobre a violência policial sofrida por estudantes catarinenses por causa das manifestações o aumento das tarifas de transporte público em Florianópolis em 2005. A edição foi feita no calor dos protestos, de forma colaborativa por cinegrafistas e comunicadores independentes que juntaram seus registros em uma narrativa eletrizante. Entre as gravações, tem alguma coisa minhas, mas o que mais me orgulha na obra – além do valor histórico, é claro – foi a trilha sonora, que eram os MP3 que eu carregava no meu celular na época ;-}</p><p>Por conta dos 20 anos da produção e das manifestações, a <a href="https://linktr.ee/tarifazerofloripa" rel="nofollow">Campanha pela Tarifa Zero em Floripa</a> realizou uma <a href="https://www.instagram.com/p/DFqbpIQP9Qj/" rel="nofollow">projeção e debate sobre o vídeo no dia 4 de fevereiro</a>, que contou com a minha participação, do Vinícius Moscão (que editou e também coproduziu o vídeo) e da Flora, que era militante do Movimento Passe Livre na época.</p><p>Também para marcar o período e para divulgar campanha pela Tarifa Zero em Florianópolis – que hoje (17/2), apresentou um <a href="https://www.instagram.com/p/DGDSghOxDbk/" rel="nofollow">Projeto de Lei popular de transporte público gratuito na cidade –</a> um perfil de divulgação as produções audiovisuais do Grupo Expressão Sarcástica (meu saudoso coletivo nos anos 2000), lançou o documentário Amanhã Vai Ser Maior no <a href="https://alquimidia.org/fediverso/" rel="nofollow">Fediverso</a>. Until I saw the handle: someone@loops. Wait.. I see a loops here. This isn't just a video. This is a video on A DIFFERENT Service. And I can seamlessly interact with it. </p><p>A new service just integrated seamlessly into my timeline.
