I think the #ActivityPub client-to-server API is extremely important and underrated. I’m glad to see the SWF and W3C group prioritizing it, because I think it has the potential to fix something that’s kind of broken on the #Fediverse: too many accounts, on too many platforms that really ought to be clients.
Here’s the rub, though: you need the big players in the space to support it. Mastodon needs to support it. Pixelfed and PeerTube need to support it.
So, how do you get the big existing projects to all implement it? How do you justify it?
I have recently created two tools for promoting your favorite fediverse communities. (And you can even use them together!)
The first one lets you create a customizable invitation page with your favorite apps and starter packs (collections will be supported soon!): https://stefanbohacek.com/project/fediverse-invitation/
And also the Join the Fediverse zine, with the last page allowing you to link to your custom invitation.
https://jointhefediverse.net/zine
Hope you will all find these useful!

All https://fedihost.co #Mastodon instances have been updated to v4.4.3
This release contains some bug fixes and a small security patch.
Thank you!

🚨 Mastodon DOES NOT ask you to verify yourself, EVER. 🚨
Currently there are scammers who want you to click a link by acting like #Mastodon staff
Please REPORT these accounts so we can ban them across the #Fediverse
WE DO NOT VERIFY PEOPLE ON MASTODON
🔒 Security Update for BotKit Users
We've released #security patch versions BotKit 0.1.2 and 0.2.2 to address CVE-2025-54888, a security #vulnerability discovered in #Fedify. These updates incorporate the latest patched version of Fedify to ensure your bots remain secure.
We strongly recommend all #BotKit users update to the latest patch version immediately. Thank you for keeping the #fediverse safe! 🛡️
Bonjour 🌿
Here's another cool feature of Bonfire. One account, many profiles.
When you create an account, you can create multiple profiles, each with it's own unique followers, content and settings (and emojis!).
1 account. 1 password. Many profiles.
Ownership of profiles can be shared with others. A news publication can share posting responsibilities, for example.

Here's an idea I'm playing with: a semi-customizable fediverse invitation page.
Example: https://invite.jointhefediverse.net/?server=hachyderm.io&apps=1,2,3,5

📌𝗠𝗜𝗦𝗦𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗖𝗔𝗧 𝗡𝗢𝗪 𝗙𝗢𝗨𝗡𝗗. 𝗟𝗢𝗡𝗚 𝗣𝗢𝗦𝗧 𝗔𝗛𝗘𝗔𝗗👇🏼 (Thread)
¹ Hello people of the #Fediverse #Mastodon and to everyone in the community🫂😩💜 Thank u 4 all that read & boosts my pinned. BUT RIGHT NOW I NEED A MIRACLE TO HAPPEN, UR SUPPORT IS IN MUCH NEED
JURY IS FOUND! It made me so happy but broke my heart too. IT WAS A VERY LONG DAY 4 ME also 4 my cat too💔 My neighbor from nextdoor (the one w/ the CCTV) had a friend that works in SEARCH/RESCUE field & gave him a call & told him abou the situation.
⬇
THREAD II
AFTER THAT SCENARIO, EVERYTHING HAPPENS SO FAST.. Eduard has a motorcycle & decided 2 go in the nearest vet which is idk how or what but I was just sobbing while Jury is wrapped in Blankets, Im partially drenched of the rain & just let fate decides. Later on I found out that Freya called the nearest ER Clinic that had a Vet ready that time which is still very early.. Eduard took us there driving the right speed 2 keep us safe while the time is very crucial. 💔

I usually follow everyone who follows me here on Mastodon. But guys, please complete your bio before following me. If not, I will assume you are only interested in following me, and that is okay. Just don't get offended if I don't follow back.

I’m building a new tool and looking for volunteers to test it! A #fediverse linktree.
It’s designed for two types of people:
Normies / newcomers – Think of it like a free, privacy-respecting Linktree. No trackers, no ads. But here's the cool part: it's a Trojan horse for the fediverse. Your profile link is itself an ActivityPub actor. That means people can interact with it directly in the fediverse, and it encourages exploration of open platforms.
Fediverse users, If you have multiple accounts (#Mastodon, #Pixelfed, Loops, a federated blog…), you know the struggle: sometimes you just want one persona to follow. This tool gives you that. It doesn’t post on its own (read-only), but it boosts all your other accounts and even has its own #ActivityPub inbox. PLUS it can receive and show your badges issued by @badgefed !
Interested in testing? Reply here, I will reach out in the next 24-48hrs with an invitation link.
