Nine years ago today we welcomed this goofball into our lives. Nora can be aloof, anti-social, and food-motivated to an astonishing degree, but she's also very dear to me. Also, this month she celebrates month 36 of "4 to 6 months left to live" from liver cancer, keeping on through pure cussedness.

Joyful shenanigans at our house this morning.
Summer brings the orange ball to her pal who accommodates her by hiding it, tossing it, and engaging in a gentle tug of war.
We are both feeling much better and my husband isn't wasting a minute. We will see if Summer and I can keep up with him.
Antibiotics are giving him a new lease on health.
We are thankful.
I hear joy can be contagious.
I hope so.

#ThrowbackThursday to one of my favourite picture for a unique plushie!
I don’t draw or make dogs nearly enough, I think I get overwhelmed by the amount of breeds that exist and how different they look from one another.
But someone suggested a Labrador and I had so much fun making him! I’m still really proud of the simple and efficient shapes I used!
And when I went to take pictures of it and saw this “no dogs allowed” sign, I couldn’t resist!

📷 Layla is now "Thigh-high on a big guy" according to a report I got this week. Here, she's a BIG puppy in a rare, still moment.

We fostered Layla for several months in the Fall of 2023. She went to her forever home (a sweet set-up) on New Year's Day, 2024.

I miss her a lot. We were close, and I took hundred of pictures. Layla's a blur in most of them. ❤️
