Outriders is a terrific century ride from Boston to Provincetown every year (More accurately, 128 miles). If you are a cyclist in Boston area, I highly recommend this ride. There’re plenty of century rides around here, but Outriders feels special.
It has been going strong for 37 years. They’ve seen a decline in registrations lately. Harbor to the Bay ended its 21 years run in 2023. Let’s keep Outriders going, which is the only organized, supported Boston to Ptown ride at the moment.

A gentle 70km this morning with my mate, Paul, who is recovering from the lurgy. His coughing and spluttering eased in the second half of the ride. It was great to give Peadar its first longer ride of the year. I'm both angry and excited to read about the French & #Paris #cycling movement.
Angry that the UK is so far behind, with our leaders having so little vision.

Even tho the #GreenParty can't win a majority, talking to all our MP candidates about how important to us the #ClimateAction is, to make them commit when they're on our doorstep / in hustings.

8 inches/20cm of heavy wet snow has blown in 3 days after the ski mountain closed for the year. The drifts were well over a foot deep in some places and I had do a bit of “fatbike cyclocross” to get to town.

Ptown - PB ride
PB’s location is so perfect that it’s about 25 miles from Ptown on a bike ride with plenty of hills and amazing ocean views, and provides great energy supply for cyclists (aka coffee and delicious French pastry) so we can ride back to Ptown without bonking 🤣 Beaches are literally a few pedals away.
After a bit over 1000 ft ascending you’ll probably feel a bit tired and the fatigue in legs are getting you and boom a great French bakery is right in front of you. What more can you ask for? 😋
I’ve done this route so many times and still want to do it over and over again. Hardly any automobiles on the back roads in Truro and Wellfleet. And plenty of friendly attention on commercial st in Ptown 🤣

First big group ride this year with local cycling group Charles River Wheelers (CRW).
Rode through some very wealthy suburban towns (Dover is the wealthiest town in Massachusetts with median household income of $250k+)
Very fast paced group. Started with the 2nd group (15-16mph pace) but caught the first group (17-18mph pace) shortly after. I stayed with the first group and average speed of this ride is 17.9mph!

Whenever I'm #cycling through a field of cows, I'll try and record what happens, y'know, just in case a coroner needs it later on. They were a bit frisky this evening. And yes, "oi … oi" is how one speaks bovine. 😬
Beautiful day for a ride.
Legs feel really good. Training in the winter paid off. Best 1 mins power output at 408 watt. Made a lot of PRs on the route that I’ve done so many times.
Now keep doing that power for 1 hour I’ll be a pro LOL #ICanDream
