Set an alarm and got up early to go out for a ride, enjoying one of the last warm nice days in Boston this year. And I was rewarded with this beautiful vibrant red maple along Neponset river in the morning glow! That almost made the suffering climbing up Blue Hill TWICE less sufferable...

New Greater Northshore and MEGAMAP (Northwest King County) bike map update!
This version is very 1 Line light-rail focused, not just adding 1 Line stations but upgrading street labels for better wayfinding. It contains several other updates and two contributions as well.

After providing introductory bike-friendly drivers training today—to all youth at the Monterey County Probation Department Youth Center—we made our typical rounds in our county’s seat and largest city. Today that included Acosta Plaza and two local bike shops on our route.
We also stopped to snap photos of some of our favorite infrastructure (short of bikeways with a physical barrier): Bike boxes at intersections, like this one on West Alisal Street at Lincoln Avenue, Salinas.

"South Carolina is now one of a dozen states with a statewide safety stop law. The details vary, but the basic principle has spread across red and blue states alike: people on bikes must slow down, yield to anyone with the right of way, and stop whenever safety requires it.
