Working on a little experiment, trying to convert a Batman artwork by the skilled Max Grecke to 3D as faithfully as possible.

Instead of focusing on modeling, as I usually do, I'm putting the emphasis on transferring the texture, which takes a lot of work in Blender Texture Paint.

Deutschlandweit finden sich Comicsammlungen mit unterschiedlichen Inhalten und Nutzungsmöglichkeiten vor allem in wissenschaftlichen Bibliotheken aber auch an weiteren Sammlungsorten. Da sich erst seit dem 21. Jahrhundert ein erkennbar starkes Forschungsinteresse an dieser Literaturform entwickelt hat, wurden diese Sammlungen vordem zum Teil nur unzulänglich in den jeweiligen Bibliotheks- oder Sammlungskatalogen abgebildet. Daraus erwirkte sich das Problem der Sichtbarkeit für interessierte Forschende und für andere wissenschaftliche Bibliotheken und Sammlungen. Erstgenannte können zum Teil nur schwer ermitteln, welche Sammlungen, Hefte und Ausgaben an deutschen Hochschulbibliotheken zu finden sind und unter welchen Voraussetzungen diese für die Forschung genutzt werden können, zweitgenannte haben das Problem, dass durch die unbekannte Bestandslage kein sinnvoll ergänzender Bestandsaufbau erfolgen kann. Das Thema der wissenschaftlichen Comic-Sammlungen und die Möglichkeiten der Vernetzung wurden auch im Frühjahr 2025 in einem DFG-Rundgespräch behandelt.
