All done! Took 90 minutes to render, on the dot.
I sorta want to make a 60fps version, maybe at half speed. But that would mean 4x the frames as this one, and I'm not ready to devote 6 hours of render time to this.
Not bad for a half-day's work! 😎

I realized what impact the Material has. Fun fact all objects in this scene have the same material that is using the same 320x320 Pixel Textures.

Yesterday I finally found some time and motivation to work on my tavern asset set again... nothing worth sharing yet.
Meanwhile I discovered a very old render of mine. I remember this was like the first scene I had an Idea about what I wanted to express, set it up and was happy with the results. Still remember how I turned this historical map of #paris into a #3D object and used UV mapping for the first time correctly 😁
I find it still holds up today.

I build a procedural shear geometry node setup. It is like the curve to mesh node but better. It keeps the cuts straight like the shear modeling operator and auto generates UV's. Also autosmooth is generated procedurally.

Já que o #Blender (#Blender3D) tá em evidência por ter sido mencionado no palco do Oscar, e por eu estar numa instância maio artística, vou deixar umas imagens que produzi no programa anos atrás. Eu queria ter continuado, mas PC quebra, falta grana, vem pandemia, as dificuldades de aprender por conta própria... Mas tá aí, acho que o resultado ficou legal, apesar de simples. Talvez um dia eu volte a brincar...

Working on a little experiment, trying to convert a Batman artwork by the skilled Max Grecke to 3D as faithfully as possible.
Instead of focusing on modeling, as I usually do, I'm putting the emphasis on transferring the texture, which takes a lot of work in Blender Texture Paint.

Kimuli translates to flower, a thing that is supposed to be beautiful. A symbol of love and cuteness. But since I have an evil mind, I thought of a man turning into a flower monster, and haunting his wife. At least I stayed away from gore, so perhaps there's still some cuteness.

So today I created a gradient #colorPallet with a program I made in #godot and tested it in two simple #lowPoly scenes which I created in #blender3d

So #vfx people, is anyone here familiar with FreeMoCap? I'm considering it as the Rokoko suit I have is a total disappointment. But been installing freemocap and its stuck on downloading for about 30 minutes now and no sign of when it will be done. There is no documentation on how big this thing is. (Or maybe I'm too naive to know?)
