My nemesis bird, the Pale-headed Rosella.

Extremely flighty, this one was approx 20m or so away, and still very nervous.

They usually hang around in pairs (and yes, there was a second, much closer, but hidden from me until it flew off).

Visiting the local patch this evening to find some inner peace. Sat down the edge of a field of reed, watching some bumblebees. Looking up I met de eye of a female reed bunting, calmly sitting in the reed.

We have an American robin building a nest and hatching her babies on our porch... Her name is Janet. She has been sitting there for almost two weeks now. Unfortunately she gets scared every time there's someone coming to the door, but she always comes back and continues hatching. We have great joy observing her and now we're worried that she may not have babies because it has been so long. 🥹
