A guy just outside of the Botanical Gardens of #Oldenburg had discovered this young #bird (likely a young oystercatcher), thought it had fallen out of the nest, and wanted to save it.

But it didn't need saving - it's perfectly normal for these birds to roam around outside the nest at this stage. And the parent was rather upset about this abduction.

A good rule of thumb for young birds you may encounter: Unless they are in clear immediate danger, it's best to leave them alone.
