Awesome location. Good cinematography and production. Liked the pacing and editing. Ending is goofy but fun.

Plot is meh. About 25% of the dialogue is cringe. Folks… you have to stop renaming your movie to include “Amityville” when it has nothing to do with Amityville.

Interesting vegetative state plot point. Unconventional story. Legitimately creepy. There are 3 good suspenseful scenes. Good twist.

Jump scares! Does the school bell HAVE TO ring in every transition from home to school? Boo! Another jump scare! Way too much makeup. Jump scare! Jump scare! This teen is full of exposition. Cheesy dramatic choral music. Weak teenage acting. Ham-fisted voice over reminder above Chekhov’s bounding circle. Looksmaxxing zombie. Unnecessary cuts to house exterior. Stupid denouement.

All Hallows' Eve Horror
It's that creepy time of year again...Halloween. And a group of friends have gotten together for a party at an old abandoned and haunted house where an entire family was once murdered. Seems totally safe right? Wrong. Dead wrong. Because not only do the kids decide to play some tricks and have a few treats, they manage to revive a supernatural killer; a killer hell bent on sacrificing them one by one to evil forces possessing the home. Will anyone escape? Or will they all be slain and become permanent residents of the infamous Amityville house? With original music by Nightmare queen Tuesday Knight, this is a night that none of them will ever forget, for as long as they live.

Horror anthology that is student-film level quality. The cinematography and editing were better than expected. Campy, schlocky fun with joie de vivre. Tim and Eric-esque at times. Interesting music.

Segments include:
Renegade Nunz in Outer Space
Universal Abduction
VHS Demons
Undead Manor

Let’s rate the segments:

Renegade Nunz in Outer Space is 9/10. Charming. The only problem is that it’s not longer. I was disappointed when I realized the Renegade Nunz in Outer Space was just a segment and not actually a feature length film!

Universal Abduction is 8/10. The flat voice acting, bad dubbing, and cardboard props somehow combine to be more than the sum of its parts. Really fun camera angles and close ups.

VHS Demons is 4/10. It still has the same flat acting and bad voice dubbing but it loses its momentum and kinda drags.

Undead Manor is 5/10. Starts with a snarky commercial, then just “in medias res” to the zombie story. Paced really well.

The framing device takes up most of the film, but it’s not great. Plot is just a loose collection of horror tropes and plot lines lifted from other films.

The scariest thing here is how much Mark Polonia's filmmaking has *improved* since Death House. If he continues improving at this rate, he will eventually be directing mock-busters that are better than the originals.

It's not great, but it's still better than The Evil Escapes, Amityville Toybox, The Amityville Asylum, Amityville Death House, Amityville: No Escape, and Sickle

I like the 70’s aesthetic touches. Some good suspenseful moments. There was one good scare that involved a kid holding a knife.

Really feels like propaganda or advertising for paranormal investigators. Very flat characters that don’t really develop or change. The use of 60’s pop music really broke the flow and felt cheap. The way the Elvis song is used is especially gross. Middle act is slow and random hauntings happen that never connect. Ending is too easy and feels unearned.

Other titles they could have used:

- Night of the Living Dumps

There were just too many fart jokes.

A really great premise with lofty narrative ambitions. Like a blend of Guy Maddie and Vincent Gallo.
There’s a lot going on in this one. Intriguing and puzzling. Pretentious and smutty and vague.

This had some great cinematography and had a surprisingly good plot. Key to the city was funny in a campy way.
Needed better editing. Could’ve been about 15 minutes shorter. Trim it down. Some of the line reads are passable, but some needed another take. Low budget issue I assume?

All of the actors move at about 1/2 speed and barely acting.
The editing seems bad, but I think it’s intentional. They reused so many shots and let several scenes drag on. It feels like they were trying to pad the run time.

One of the best Amityville films.
The possession stuff, the deaths, and the climax are all actually pretty good. One of the deaths had me cheering and laughing because it was so satisfying.
