Jan. 24, 2026 Review Steam Review - The marketing is misleading, in fact a straight up lie. You do not get nearly as many upgrades as fast to keep it fun or engaging. After the first few resets the progress basically slows down to a crawl. It forces you to play actively - log in daily, do quests, check back in every few hours, some minigames only doable while in game. But the rewards are so atrocious and non-existent, and gameplay if you can even call it that is so mind-numbingly exhausting, its a wonder it is so well reviewed. I guess most players stop at the honeymoon period of constant upgrades and stop before reaching the slog. The achievement trap and the pacing are clear manipulations by the dev to make the player spend money. If you haven't started playing, good do not fall for it, there are much better idle games out there. If you are like me and hate yourself, play if you want but DO NOT SPEND a single dime on this game.

Factory Town Idle is a unique town builder where you manage an entire economy from a simple but powerful set of menus. At the start, simple clicks will harvest resources, create housing & production buildings, and assign workers to craft items. You'll choose which items to sell at the markets, and which to refine into better items. As you gain experience, you'll acquire tools that help automatically manage your growing town - which you will need in order to manage its increasing demands.

Eventually you will gain the ability to expand into exotic biomes, unlocking valuable resources & recipes exclusive to those regions. All along, you'll need to invest your earnings back into research and upgrades so that your town can earn you increasingly large piles of coins.

Make gourmet food, machinery, fine clothing, books of knowledge, potions, enchanted jewelry, and many other types of items
Discover new recipes as your production skills increase
Cultivate crops and prospect for ores to boost natural resources
Huge list of quests which unlock powerful perks when completed

Jan. 25, 2026 Review Steam Review - Do you like number go up? Do you like upgrades fueled dopamine? Well then you will most probably enjoy this one. Its the most idle of idle games, you just simply assign tasks and they get done. The complexity arises from managing resource chains to more refined products across various industries, and a bit of logistics at large scale. Its somewhat held back by a total lack of explanation of its features. I had to look up the dev's own hints. However, I did so as I was immensely enjoying the game. Many times stayed up way past my bedtime wondering where the time went. Was only drawn in by the idle aspect, but the charm of it has now made me interested in the non-idle Factory Town.
