There are so many images and memories in my head that I'd love to paint up and bring back to life. Well, you know, bring back in a way. I keep telling myself, just go for it. I even made a list of the scenes I'd love to revisit, even if only imperfectly, using the amazing tools of digital hand-painting from #CorelPainter or #Rebelle. This one ... well ... it's not one of the ones on the list ... but it is basically a scene I've seen a million times as I've driven down country roads here in the #MidAtlantic area. Those brief moments of magic where the sky and the sunlight and the compositions are breathtaking, but your car is traveling at 50-60 mph and the guy behind you is too close and there's no way you can pull over, hop out of the car and get the shot. Besides ... you left the camera at home again. So this one might be from my imagination but it's also representative of all those pretty trees up on those pretty hillsides, against those fabulous skyscapes. An homage to the ordinary.

Neither one had a searchlight, or one of those million-watt flashlights that run out of battery power after an hour or so.

They just had candles, small flames of golden glow that didn't command the attention of the surrounding countryside and beyond, but did provide enough light for their needs.

Imagine a device that is able to convert sunlight into storable energy. A device capable of transforming CO² into oxygen and sugar without external power supply. A device that is non-polluting and human friendly. That keeps cool & fresh while working. That is self reproducing. That doesn't cost a cent to make. That is biodegradable & offers habitats & food to many species.

It's not science fiction.
That wonderful visionary device exists.

And humans are too blind to see.
