Trump just REPEATED his crazy lie that schools do #GenderChanging operations on kids.
We must use this pattern against him.
1) He makes crazy comment
2) His surrogates & staff say "What he meant was.. "
3) The media #sanewash the comment & leave out the crazy detail. LIKE THIS HEADLINE "Trump taps into culture war issues, seeks to energize base at Moms for Liberty event"
When he doubles down on a crazy comment that's our cue to repeat it.
VS the MSM's response "the base loves it."

It appears someone half ripped my Oregon #protecttranskids sticker off my truck.
I removed the other half. They tried to remove the TransphObia not TransphobiA sticker too but failed. (It had been peeled up but I stuck it back down).
So here’s the thing.
I will buy replacements.
I will put them on my truck.
Fuck your hate. If I’ve existed out of spite for the past 23 years and got on with my “scary trans agenda”… My stickers ain’t going anywhere.

Maybe in protest of these ludicrous anti-trans bathroom laws we should all just use the men's bathroom, no matter your gender.
1. Cis women going into men's bathrooms normalize fem people there; less attention for trans sisters.
2. they can't check all our birth certificates.
3. If our trans sisters aren't welcome then nobody is welcome.
4. Create longer lines in men's bathrooms, more inconvenient for them.
5. Give men gross looks if they don't wash their hands.

Harassment has increased significantly on Bluesky over the last week (which tends to be what happens when a site's moderators find an excuse not to take actionn against a coordinated anti-trans harassment campaign, but that's another story). Bluesky blocklists provide some protection, but unfortunately there's no way for fedi accounts to subscribe to Bluesky blocklists or labelers. So there's basially no protection for bridged accounts.
I haven't yet hard any reports of harassment getting directed at bridged accounts ... but then again if somebody on Bluesky who hasn't opted in to Bridgy fed is spewing hate speech in bridged posts replies, we wouldn't necessarily know about it. So, better safe than sorry.

Bridgy Fed's development is very resource constrained right now; as far as I know it's still just @snarfed.org working on it part-time, and they've had their hands full just keeping up with the increased load. So, not sure how quickly they''ll be able to respond.

This is what Disney has deleted from Pixar's Win or Lose. This beautiful, moving, relatable sequence that would've meant so much to so many kids for years to come was not worth the risk of controversy to them.

I’m an #asexual #trans #lesbian, which is a particularly cursed combo for reasons I won’t explore here. But suffice it to say I therefor have reason to explore the nuances of what kinds of touch I enjoy, and in doing so I’ve observed that, for me, I experience episodic desire for #SensualTouch that is disconnected from my episodic experience of being horny. I’ve taken to describing this as feeling #SkinThirst.
Some disambiguation: I distinguish being skin thirsty from being chronically touch starved in the same way that wanting to get some sunshine in my hair is different from a chronic vitamin D deficiency - one is an experience I have episodically that might last hours to days, and the other is a long-term lack of something important. Both can be true at the same time, but I mean different things by them.
By way of illuminating the difference from being horny, I’ve observed that when I’m horny, masturbating and having an orgasm can satiate that need. By contrast, feeling skin thirsty cannot be slaked without someone else touching me. It may fade in time on its own, but masturbating does absolutely nothing for it, because my needs for sensual touch are not addressed by sexual activity, except coincidentally. Additionally, I get horny and skin thirsty on TOTALLY different frequencies. I’m horny maybe once a month. I get skin thirsty at least weekly, and often more frequently than that.
And when I say I get skin thirsty, it means I CRAVE focused, intentional touch. Preferably in large quantity. I’ve described this as “making out in such a way as to get a hard R rating.” However, for me, a romantic component isn’t actually required, it is possible to get what I need platonically.
Here are some of my previous threads about this - there’s some fabulous discussion in there, and I was surprised to find how many people experience skin thirst as disconnected entirely from their experience of feeling horny OR that there was a connection, but not one that was entirely one-to-one.

I'm a Sr. (Software) Engineering Manager with almost 20 years of experience in software development. I also have a few years in there as a Senior Product Manager, but my passion definitely lies on the engineering side of things.
I've been involved in Olympic #fencing for almost 30 years in some capacity, and for the last several I have been an armorer at collegiate, (US) national, and international events.
I am here on Mastodon after deciding to leave anything Meta behind, and realizing that BlueSky isn't the safe haven that it purports to be. I hope all of the Threads and Twitter users that ended up there don't get burned, but I'm not taking my chances with that.
Things I am likely to post about: Trans and other LGBTQIA2S+ rights, software development, vintage/retro gaming and computing, Olympic fencing and my cat.

If you've not heard of Lou Sullivan, look him up. He was a gay, HIV positive, trans man and he did a huge amount for our community in the US and beyond. Lou lobbied for gay, trans men to be given access to medical transition. He was visible so that other gay, trans men could see that they weren’t alone.
