Ugh, soooooo many utterly bad and horrible modules in the mod archive!
Finding the gems is like finding a needle in a multiverse of haystacks.
I'm going through all of them so you won't have to.
My ears are bleeding. But every now and then, a true masterpiece pops up and I add that to the playlist of the ModStation:

What a banger!
And it's now in the playlist of the modstation, the 24/7 stream of only the best four-channel tracker music.

(I'd provide a link to the module in the mod archive, but unfortunately that seems to be down at the moment - insert image of me running around with my hair on fire)

As a junior high nerd I had the most ridiculously convoluted setup for listening to tracker music: I had a 286 machine, an OG SoundBlaster, and a Covox Speech Thing. I had player software that could output one channel to the SoundBlaster and one channel to the Covox, so I did that, with one speaker hooked to each, on either side of my bed.
It worked amazingly well, albeit with 8-bit, 11kHz mixing quality.
