Life always seems to punish me whenever I doubt myself or cave in to what others think. This keeps happening over and over, pushing me to a point where I gotta have absolute faith in myself and trust my intuition 100% when it comes to making important decisions for myself.
thoughts
The more she thought, the more questions she had, and the more questions she had, the more time she wanted to work her way through them.
"If people reap what they sow," she wondered, "what do those who sow fear, so that they can get more money and power, eventually harvest?"
It was one of many questions. She had no answer yet, but that didn't stop her from asking.

Rare, oh it's so rare
To meet somebody
Able to understand you
So deeply that
You never feel alone.

Colours.
Colours. A funny word. Some people can live without it, some cannot, some create it everyday. We have our own preferences of colours. Blue, green, yellow, red, etc. etc. But the most interest of all the colours to me are black and white. White is often depicted as a sybol of all goodness, purity, Godliness, and all good things. Black is the symbol of rudeness, profane things, and so on.
But, the God who made day also made night. The great God who made the daylight so bright also made the nightsky so dark. All these preconceptions for thousands of years, influenced by different cultures, have poisoned the mids of all men.
What if we stopped thinking like that? What if, instead of thinking of the devil as some black/red figure with horns, he was an angel of light, who deceives all men of all good in their lives? That is something to think about.
I'm not trying to say stop using white for holy things. I'm just saying: some things are not as they seem, and the devil can use anyy tactic to pull you over to his side...

Small win in the new role.
Two weeks in, and I got official permission to use @Vivaldi as my work browser
Edge stays the company standard, this is a personal exception, and I am perfectly fine with that. For now.
The formal route existed: a software approval request, a ticket, the whole bureaucratic chain.
What actually settled it was a short live demo at our Friday Jour Fixe for the head of IT, a man who has spent decades keeping infrastructure stable and does not adopt shiny tools by default.
I showed Tiling, Notes, Sessions, Workspaces with Rules, Read Later, and the F2 command panel. No slides, no pitch, just the browser doing its thing.
Substance won over defaults. That felt really good.

Juliette died last night. She was 13.
In June I posted a photo of her in a yellow unicorn party hat and called it her "second" birthday. A year before that I had spent a weekend doing some kind of CPR on her and writing her heart rate down every 30 minutes, certain she would not see Monday.
She saw fourteen more months. She walked, she ate, she ran around the flat like nothing had happened.

Thank you to everyone who wrote something kind under it. I went back and read all of it again today.
This photo is from a boat on Lake Lucerne. A third of her life she spent here in Switzerland, and on every walk it was obvious who was walking whom.
She always got her way. She never backed down from anything, not once, not until yesterday.
