10 years ago, David Cameron was the Prime Minister. Since then, we have had Theresa May, Boris Johnson, Liz Truss, Rishi Sunak, and Keir Starmer, and now it looks like we'll get Andy Burnham. The darling of the billionaire-owned press, Nigel Farage, is hovering in the background waiting for the next election.
These people have managed the decline of ordinary people while boosting the fortunes of the rich.
Now explain to me, like I am a child, why Scotland cannot do so much better?

they are only interested in holding power and in themselves...
On our walk near Cardross we met a 95-year-old lady who invited us to visit her woodland garden. It is an amazing place, a wood full of rhododendrons and azaleas amongst tall trees, paths winding through it with bridges across a little burn, wild flowers, beehives, so many things to discover.
If you’re feeling down, remember that Scotland owns a bit of England because we kept beating them at football. Ownership of the Ba Green was decided by an annual game of “mob football” between 🏴Coldstream & 🏴Wark: eventually, demographics made it Scotland for ever 🏆

I refer to my pup as a "cheeky wee bisom" meaning she's a cute cheeky wee thing.
Then I googled the word. In Ulster Scots it means a bad tempered woman, and the Dictionary of Scots Language at Glasgow Uni define it as a broom.
Have I misremembered my childhood? Does any one else use bisom in the sense of a rascal?
Scotland’s a sense of change, an endless
becoming for which there was never a kind
of wholeness or ultimate category.
Scotland’s an attitude of mind.
