👾Both having being rebooted one hour ago (just before I started migration) I can see real-life memory usage of my old #snac instance has a similar memory usage as new #gotosocial instance.
Both using less than 480 Mb of RAM in a Debian LXC.
Migration, especially of followers was much faster than my previous masto.host to snac migration. Well, now both machines are in Virtual Machines that are in the same house.
Good thing is that I can virtually keep my old snac account alive forever, unless I really need to get 512mb ram on my #Proxmox hosts 😅. Since LXC only uses RAM when needed it'll probably go back down to 100mb over time.

Mittlerweile habe ich, ich weiß nicht mehr, wie viele #proxmox #Server und #Backup Server in Betrieb, ich weiß auch nicht mehr, mit wie vielen #Linux #Container|n #lxc und virtuellen Maschinen #kvm.
Darin laufen zudem #docker #portainer #dockge #kubernetes und noch mehr Instanzen, dass ich so langsam nicht mehr weiß, wie ich die alle administrieren kann.

* Add an optional memory balancing threshold
* Add affinity/anti-affinity support by pools
* Add pressure (PSI) based balancing for memory, cpu, disk
* Pressure (PSI) based balancing for nodes
* Pressure (PSI) based balancing for guests
You can simply upgrade via APT or by obtaining the latest Docker/Container image. PSI based balancing (still in beta) requires Proxmox VE 9 or greater.

Im Juli sorgten zwei #SSH CVEs für Aufsehen. #SUSE Manager 5.0 und Leap Micro 6.0 sind erschienen und #CentOS 7 wurde eingestellt. Weitere Backup-Provider wollen #Proxmox unterstützen. #Firefox 128 verärgert mit PPA, das openSUSE-Projekt diskutiert lebhaft ein Rebranding. Canonical will Docker-Container zukünftig bis zu 12 Jahre unterstützen, während #FreeBSD den Supportzyklus verkürzt.

#Incus impressed me as a #Proxmox alternative, but #IncusOS? That’s the next evolution!
IncusOS comes with all the missing things like ARM64 (aarch64) support, boot safety, full disk encryption, immutable images (read-only and signed) and fully locked down to operate in API only mode.
For me, it’s a mix of #Talos, #Harvester and Proxmox where it merges the best features of all ones!

Fedora 41, RHEL 9.5 und die erste RHEL 10-Beta erscheinen. Im häufig genutzten needrestart werden gleich 5 CVEs gefunden und draw.io ist nicht mehr FOSS. Der Linux-Kernel erscheint mit zahlreichen Verbesserungen in einer neuen Version 6.12. #Proxmox erhält ein Update auf 8.3.

Das #Fedora-Projekt bekommt eine neue Projektleitung. #Proxmox Backup Server erscheint in der Version 3.3 und mit dem Raspberry Pi 500 erscheint ein neuer Kleinstrechner.
