👾Both having being rebooted one hour ago (just before I started migration) I can see real-life memory usage of my old #snac instance has a similar memory usage as new #gotosocial instance.
Both using less than 480 Mb of RAM in a Debian LXC.
Migration, especially of followers was much faster than my previous masto.host to snac migration. Well, now both machines are in Virtual Machines that are in the same house.
Good thing is that I can virtually keep my old snac account alive forever, unless I really need to get 512mb ram on my #Proxmox hosts 😅. Since LXC only uses RAM when needed it'll probably go back down to 100mb over time.

#ProxLB start supporting #Proxmox's native HA rules (affinity/anti-affinity) with release 1.1.11.
This way, you can simply use the built-in rules via the interface, but still use enhanced rules via ProxLB by tags or pools (even for non HA VMs/CTs). This feature was already requested a long time ago and get's now streamlined over all ways, ensuring we can balance our VMs (and CTs) across the nodes with and even without any configured HA objects - fully flexible to your needs!
Requirements:
* Proxmox 9.x
* ProxLB 1.1.11
Version 1.1.11 is expected to be released by the end of this or within the upcoming week; depending on my spare time.

* Add affinity/anti-affinity support by pools
* Add pressure (PSI) based balancing for memory, cpu, disk
* Pressure (PSI) based balancing for nodes
* Pressure (PSI) based balancing for guests
You can simply upgrade via APT or by obtaining the latest Docker/Container image. PSI based balancing (still in beta) requires Proxmox VE 9 or greater.

Im Juli sorgten zwei #SSH CVEs für Aufsehen. #SUSE Manager 5.0 und Leap Micro 6.0 sind erschienen und #CentOS 7 wurde eingestellt. Weitere Backup-Provider wollen #Proxmox unterstützen. #Firefox 128 verärgert mit PPA, das openSUSE-Projekt diskutiert lebhaft ein Rebranding. #Incus impressed me as a #Proxmox alternative, but #IncusOS? That’s the next evolution!
IncusOS comes with all the missing things like ARM64 (aarch64) support, boot safety, full disk encryption, immutable images (read-only and signed) and fully locked down to operate in API only mode.
For me, it’s a mix of #Talos, #Harvester and Proxmox where it merges the best features of all ones!

On Thursday, @gyptazy provided a talk about #BoxyBSD at the "Virtualization Gathering" at @credativde.
@gyptazy provided some more information about the BoxyBSD project, but also about the history and infrastructure including the switches of #FreeBSD #Jails, #bhyve and #Proxmox (#kvm). Afterwards, additional information about the #Sylve project were shared and why this is so important and interesting and could make BoxyBSD return to bhyve based #virtualization.

ProxCLMC evaluates all nodes within the cluster and checks for the maxmimum supported type to make sure live migrations can perform without any issues. ProxCLMC is fully opensource and entirely written in Rust.
