O episódio ocorreu durante uma festa de formatura de uma família de alto poder aquisitivo na Facene em Mossoró-RN, na ocasião o adolescente de 13 anos irmão das duas formandos trajava farda nazista e e símbolos nazi como a cruz de ferro.
O "mini gênio" como foi chamado por uma das tias executou a conhecida saudação nazista.
Após repercussão nas redes sociais membros da família fecharam seus perfis e excluíram as postagens.
Sobre essa família não se sabe muita coisa além que são naturais de Rondônia e possui negócios em estados do Nordeste como Ceará e Rio Grande do Norte, mas suas identidades foram protegidas.
A Facene, Faculdade de Enfermagem e Medicina Nova Esperança, emitiu nota de repúdio e afirmou que o evento não foi organizado nem financiado pela instituição.
