Então tive que parar tudo para vir aqui comentar: será que estão reinventando a roda? O pessoal esqueceu que isso já existe desde os primórdios? Os <a href="https://museucapixaba.com.br/glossary/modem/" rel="nofollow">moduladores-demoduladores</a> (modem) por canais de voz faziam, no seu auge de popularidade, que os computadores trocassem cerca de 33 kb/s por áudio anaĺógico nas <a href="https://pt.wikipedia.org/wiki/Linha_discada" rel="nofollow">linhas discadas</a>, o equivalente a 3 mil caracteres por segundo de texto. Desde muito antes até, nem narrador de futebol no rádio consegue falar, se muito, 100 caracteres por segundo, certo?
