<p>Well I did it, I submitted my photography to the Desert Art Center’s fall jury for exhibition and sale. If they accept, my prints will be available this winter and spring alongside a bunch of other local artists. No matter what happens, I’m proud of myself for taking this step! <p>Whitefish Bay is located on the eastern side of Lake Superior, with the international boundary between Michigan and Ontario, Canada, cutting across the bay. I've visited this beach countless times, and its allure never fades. A photo, taken on a rainy day from the corner of Van Ness and Cesar Chavez Street, looking up at a massive construction crane above a new, not yet complete apartment complex.

Actually, this is a blend of three different photos taken at different angles and positions from across the street. One of the photos is dark and the others fade away somewhat translucently, like ghosts. The blending of multiple pictures from different angles makes the crane look like it is rotating. The apartment block under construction, on the lower edge of the picture, stutters... jiittering shakily it appears multiple times.

Monochrome. Slightly sepia toned.

Soft, warm lights gently wash over the columns, casting long shadows and creating a rhythmic pattern of light and darkness. Each pillar is reflected perfectly in the water below, giving the sense of endless pillars stretching downward as well as upward. It’s a place where every step echoes slightly, adding to the atmosphere of quiet reverence in this ancient, hidden world.

<p>Today’s small moment - loved our time in Melbourne, Florida over 10 years ago. I loved going down to the beach with my camera, especially at sunrise. </p><p>One morning, as I was standing there enjoying the waves of the Atlantic Ocean, a guy drove up in his work truck (utilities).
