Can you imagine this image on a very large metal or acrylic print? The colors turned out beautiful.
Just before Christmas, our annual trip to Bosque del Apache, NM. At dawn thousands of snow geese having just settled in across the water, all at once took to the air again, flying directly overy our heads. A matter of seconds it was over.

Eastern Gray #Squirrel on our back fence. Very cold for them here this week, had a few nights go below freezing, more to come they say. I put out peanuts on our back fence feeders every morning, and there is a competition with the blue jays and woodpeckers and each other to snatch them up. They go quickly.

Swedish painter and photographer Oscar Gustave Rejlander died #OTD in 1875.
His most famous work, "The Two Ways of Life" (1857), was a large-scale composite image made from over 30 negatives, depicting a moral allegory between vice and virtue. He worked closely with other pioneers like Henry Peach Robinson and was admired by Charles Darwin, who commissioned him to create photographs for The Expression of the Emotions in Man and Animals (1872).
