I've hooked the queen and her now FOUR nantics to a new outworld with a better nesting option.

Her daughters are nervously exploring the new space until they get freaked out and run back to mom.

It's amazing to watch.

A tiny "outworld" with a clay floor, small fake plant, a dish of nectar and a yummy insect leg as snacks for the ants.

The colony having a panic attack together after I remove the cotton plug.

Four tiny black ants and their big mom are in a test tube. They have been chewing at the cotton wanting out... but now that it's happened they are are little frightened.
