In support of my deep dive into #notetaking apps, I opened a #Nextcloud account with thegood.cloud to see if I can sync from #QOwnNotes and #Iotas

I'm testing out note-taking software. I used to use things like Gnote and Sticky Notes on the #GNOME desktop, but now I'm looking for something more elaborate with "outliner" capabilities. I have Flatpaks of #Logseq and #Joplin. Will either of these work for me?

I’ve been logging everything I do in a personal CHANGELOG.md in @obsidian since January, and I absolutely love it.

Every day I add something to the list, and it makes me feel like I'm achieving something. This is an important part of recovering from feelings of inadequacy and workaholic tendencies.

My search for #notetaking apps and syncing solutions has me exploring #Nextcloud and Nextcloud Notes.

Lately I've been doing a lot in the Nextcloud web interface and the Android apps. Notes can be accessed in both the regular Nextcloud app as well as the dedicated Notes app.

Nextcloud has a Tasks app in the web interface, but that isn't part of the Android app.

But you can create checkbox-style to-do lists in regular notes.

And the Tasks part of Nextcloud is supposed to sync with other to-do apps. I haven't looked into this yet.

Overall, I have maybe 30 Flatpak apps that I'm looking at. It's a surprisingly crowded space.
